Sim's Grain integration adds 8 Grain tools and 11 real-time triggers to the AI agents you build in Sim's visual workflow builder — you build it all visually. Access meeting recordings, transcripts, and AI summaries. Teams often pair Grain with Rippling and Linear in the same agent.

Each runs as a tool inside an AI agent block, so an agent can chain Grain with services like Rippling and Linear and apply LLM reasoning between steps.

Connecting Grain takes about five minutes: (1) Create a free account at sim.ai. (2) Create an agent in your workspace. (3) Drag a Grain block onto the workflow builder. (4) Paste your Grain API key to authenticate. You can find it in your Grain account settings. (5) Pick a tool such as "List Recordings", wire up its inputs, and click Run, and your agent is live.

Add a Grain block to your agent and select "List Recordings" as the tool. List recordings from Grain with optional filters and pagination. Fill in the required fields. Inputs can reference outputs from earlier steps, such as text generated by an AI block or data fetched from another integration, and you build it all visually.

Add a Grain trigger block to your agent and copy its generated webhook URL into Grain's webhook settings. Sim supports 11 real-time triggers for Grain: Grain Recording Added, Grain Recording Updated, Grain Recording Deleted, Grain Highlight Added, Grain Highlight Updated, Grain Highlight Deleted, and 5 more. Sim receives the full event payload Grain sends, typically the record or object that changed, plus metadata like the event type and timestamp. Every field in the payload is available as a variable you can pass to AI blocks, conditions, or other integrations.
